Yes, it’s cold outside here in the Kansas City area. When you’re in the business of installing siding and windows, you have a true appreciation for the weather. At Johnson County Siding & Windows, when we’re not handling siding installation and replacing windows, we get out and enjoy all the things to do in Kansas City in the winter. January is National Skating Month, so we’ve been taking our families to the Kansas City Ice Center in Shawnee or Pepsi Ice Midwest in KC for a little workout. The Wonderscope Children’s Museum always has something interesting for the kid in all of us. Wonderpalooza (with the very entertaining Brother John is coming up on February 13, 2016. The “Seeking the Good Life” exhibit at the Johnson County Museum traces life in three periods: 1820-1880 (Settling the Land), 1880-1945 (Building the Suburbs), and 1945-present (Developing an Edge City).
Some of our jazzier people at Johnson County Siding & Windows recommend the Kansas City Jazz Tour which combines a trip to the legendary American Jazz Museum and visits to the region’s top jazz clubs for great food and music. Wacky Walks and Crazy Dash Digital Adventures are like walking board games where you are a player, in pursuit of solving a puzzle while also learning some interesting facts about Kansas City. We love our city and county all year ’round. Don’t stay inside this winter (even if you have the extra comfort of new windows and siding!).
