Get Out of the Cold and Have Fun in Kansas City

Table of Contents

It’s been quite a cold winter this year, but that shouldn’t keep you and your family housebound. There are plenty of things to do in Kansas City throughout winter that won’t require you to bundle up and spend time freezing outside. The following are a few family-friendly indoor activities that we recommend you check out:

Science City

Not only is Science City an absolute blast for the kids, it’s educational as well! That’s a win-win right there! Located inside Union Station, Science City lets kids build robots, participate in an epic tug of war battle or dig for dinosaurs, just to name a few activities.

Skyzone Trampoline Park

It’s a bit too cold to use the trampoline sitting outside in your yard, so why not head over to the Skyzone Trampoline Park? Not only can you jump around to your heart’s content, you and your family can play basketball on trampolines or even dodgeball on trampolines.

LegoLand Discovery Center

It doesn’t matter how old you are, you’ll never outgrow building with lego blocks. The LegoLand Discovery Center has plenty of different things to do, from taking Master Builder classes to trying out the Kingdom Quest Laser Ride.

Jaegerz Lazer Tag

Being pent up in the house all winter long can cause some serious aggression amongst family members. Head to the underground Jaegerz Lazer Tag facility to get some of that aggression out by playing lazer tag in arenas full of fog and strobe lights, all set to some great music that will get your blood pumping!
